Cruickshank Botanic Garden, built on land bequested by Miss Anne Cruikshank to commemorate her brother Dr Alexander Cruikshank, is a University garden consisting of 11 acres of professionally landscaped gardens with herbaceous borders, rock gardens, plus a terrace and arboretum. The Graden is part of Conoco Natural History Centre. Although always open to the public, the gardens are extensively used for both teaching and research purposes.
