Here's what they: 'The award winning Dewa Roman Experience is a family run attraction suitable for both members of the public and privately booked groups. Since 1993 visitors of all ages have enjoyed wandering through Roman Streets, exploring the archaeological remains and handling ancient relics in our hands-on studio.' To be honest, The Dewa Roman Experience has been conceived very much with schools and large, unruly groups in mind but that said, there are some great (and smelly!) reconstructions on offer, including granary, barracks, bath-house, taverna and market stalls that would have formed part of a fortressat one time home to the 5000 strong Roman Army. You also have a very rare opportunity to view the genuine Roman, Saxon and Medieval remains buried beneath Chester. If anything the fact that it has been geared toward schools and large groups means the staff are experienced, keen and knowledgable rather than vacant and uncooperative (which you may find at lesser attractions). Open seven days a week, nearly every day of the year (the exceptions being Christmas Day, Boxing Day and New Years Day). Quite cheap too. For more details have a look at the website.
