Founded by Henry VI in 1441, Cambridge's King's College Chapel took over a century to build and was completed in 1547, although the history of its construction is the subject of continuing research. Visitors can marvel at the breathtaking fan-vault ceiling , the magnificent stained-glassed windows and the beautiful carved-oak organ screen presented to the college by Henry VIII and Ruben's masterpiece, The Adoration of the Magi.
The chapel also incorporates an exhibition located in the northern side chapels explaining how and why the chapel was built in pictures, works of art and models.
