The Ravensworth Arms is situated near such attractions as the centre of Newcastle and the Metrocentre, but it is also ideal for those wanting city life, without compromising on the idylic rural setting, with views of the world famous, Angel of the North, and Lamesley Pastures, just a short walk away. The hotel stands on the site of Clubdon Hall, and takes its name from the nearby Ravensworth Castle. The pub can boast a wealth of literary connections: Lewis Carroll wrote his immortal classic Alice in Wonderland her and, it is claimed, the famous writer Catherine Cookson was conceived here, her mother having worked at the pub. In keeping with the traditional atmosphere of the building, we have 19 quality, en suite bedrooms and meeting facilities for up to 50 people. Wedding ceremonies can also be held at the Ravensworth Arms as a civil wedding licence is held here
