The attractive Buchanan Arms Hotel by Loch Lomond is an ideal base for touring the surrounding area, 30 minutes from both historic Stirling and Glasgow city centre. Leave the M8 at Jct 30 for the M898 and cross the Erskine Bridge (toll). Then take the A82 west away from Glasgow, towards Alexandria and Crianlarich. At the roundabout at the end of the dual carridgeway take the A811 towards Stirling. 8 miles later at the T-junction with the A809, turn left towards Drymen. About ¾ mile later turn left onto the B858, and the Buchanan Arms is on your right as you enter Drymen village.
