 Angus
borders with Kincardineshire to the north-east, the county of Aberdeenshire to
the north and Perthshire to the west. Southwards, it faces Fife across the Firth
of Tay. Angus a contrasting landscape, where the rugged coastlines around Dundee,
the gentle lowlands and the Highland Glens, converge unexpectedly. There are also
great supplies of world-class golf locations set against dramatic and breath-taking
scenery. The area itself can be divided into a number of regional types.
To
the north and west, where the five Angus Glens nestle, the region is mountainous.
Strathmore - the Great Valley - on the otherhand is a fertile agricultural area.
