The Residence is a new concept in accomodation for Bath. We are a small, privately owned and very personal establishment, neither a hotel nor a bed and breakfast - but actually both. The Residence provides the highest level of service combined with the informal atmosphere. All our bedrooms have been individually designed, but we hope, not overly so. We dont have many, so we have tried to ensure they all deliver as much as they can. The bedrooms are equipped with the most imaginative goody-boxes and thoughtfully stocked room bars. The Wheelwrights Arms Country Inn is nestled in the peaceful village of Monkton Combe near Bath and surrounded by picturesque hills and valleys. Our two buildings were originally constructed by William Harold, a carpenter, who built a house and workshop circa 1750. In 1871 William Harold III converted the house into a public house and in 1981 the workshops were converted into bed and breakfast accommodation. A full history is available when you come and visit. The Accommodation has recently been refurbished to house 7 luxury bedrooms with bathrooms or showers. There are 5 doubles, 1 twin and 1 single room.
