The 43 bedrooms on offer are competitively priced and much of the original Regency flavour ha ...

Whether you know the name because of the publishing house, Harry Potter, the British Museum or the theatre, you are probably well aware that Bloomsbury is one of the most stylish residential areas in Central London. Whilst the actual Square was laid out in the late 1600s by Thomas Wriothesley, it was the Russell family who made it so very fashionable and the Cheshire Hotel, we are pleased to say, is a credit to whole endeavour. Hotel rates from £89.00 per room.
If you are in London to visit the British Museum then there are a handful hotels in Bloomsbury that we think are ideal. The St Giles Hotel on Bedford Avenue is one of the closest low-cost options. You will find it near the junction of Oxford Street and Tottenham Court Road, within walking distance to London's main shopping areas. The Museum itself is just yards away. It's a capable yet unpretentious affair with a choice of three restaurants and an NCP car park (located beneath the hotel). Accommodation is simple yet comfortable. The St Giles is also sits above London's largest health and fitness facility. Guests receive discount entry. Hotel rates from £85.00 a room.
Another option would be to do it in style, and there are few more stylish contenders than the four-star Kenilworth Hotel on Great Russell Street. Off peak, you can get late deals for as little as £130 a room, so it's worth checking out prices before thinking its out of your league. The hotel comes under the right royal auspices of Radisson Blue Edwardian properties. What's more, the museum is just 50 metres away. This handsome luxury option has an on-site restaurant and bar called Scoff & Banter and a first-class fitness suite.
Another reasonable option is the myhotel in Bedford Square. This one is contemporary, eclectic with a smooth and laid-back atmosphere. The hotel oozes style and challenges the occasionally stuffy austerity of Bloomsbury's period properties; so if it's cosy traditionalism that you are after, you'd be advised to look elsewhere. If on the otherhand you’re in the market for slick, progressive lodgings with all the cutting-edge devices you've grown accustomed to at home then give accommodation at the myhotel some serious consideration. Just a minute or two from Tottenham Court Road Tube Station.
The area surrounding Bloomsbury is served by several London Underground stations, although only two of these (Russell Square and Euston Square) have entrances in the district itself. If cheap Bloomsbury hotel or B&B lodgings are a must then try the Barry House on Sussex Street. It is a budget Victorian Townhouse with prices from a resonable £85.00.
