The
Cotswolds are known throughout England and the rest of the world for their rolling,
gentle hillsides, their English gardens, thatched-roofed houses and for delightful
spa towns like Bath. Drystone
walls can be seen everywhere with many of them built in the 18th and 19th century.
Many of the buildings go all the way back to the 15th and 16th centuries. The
truly magical villages of Broadway,
Evesham, Chipping
Campden, Cirencester,
Stroud and Stow-on-the-Wold
are also worthy of note. From the steep escarpments of the Severn valley to the
mid reaches of the Thames Valley, this truly is the Heart of England.
