As the name suggests, this characterful old building was at one time the local Post Office. Today it's still a 'first-class' option and retains much of its olde worlde charm (the actual building dates back to the 1700s, when Halifax was just getting started as Textile town).

The rooms are affordable if a little basic and guests share a kitchen. If you are looking to be pampered this is probably not the most sensible option, but if you happen to in Halifax on business, then it could be the smart option. Rooms come with a flat-screen TV.
