Abbingdon Guest House can be found a mile north of the city centre near Clifton and Homestead Park. At the back you have a couple of sporting attractions: the 18-hole Heworth Golf Course and ‘Bootham Crescent’ - the ground for York City Football Club. This bed & breakfast is a family-run affair and is certainly a fair prospect for doing York on a budget. All seven bedrooms are en suite and come equipped with tv/dvd players, radio alarms and refreshment trays. Guests get their own front-door key, which is great if you plan to go tripping the light-fantastic in the city centre.
