The Buckburn Britannia is an experienced all-rounder for stays in and around Aberdeenshire. Practically located for the airport and the Grampian mountains.
Aberdeen Airport is only a mile or so away, which means catching that early flight wont present much of a problem at this affordable hotel in the more rural Bucksburn area of Aberdeen.
Whilst not the most practical accommodation for the city centre some fives to the east the Britannia Hotel offers traditional, if a little bit uninspiring accommodation with a solid range of single, double, triple and family rooms available. A bonus for families is the onsite hotel Leisure Club featuring indoor heated swimming pool, sauna and gymnasium. For singles this might also be a good place to mix and socialise.
The hotel’s Millers Brasserie serves up a good range of a la carte dishes with a distinct Scandinavian touch, a nod and a wink to the snow-tipped Grampians that flank the hotel in Winter.
For couples and families who require something of an experienced ‘all rounder’, capable of gentle entertainment and a smattering of modern conveniences, the Britannia Hotel is a reliable option and certainly good value for money but offers little in the way of originality or imagination – R4U
