The Carlton Hotel is a frisky hotel on the outskirts of Newcastle City Centre. Attractive option for bright young things looking for fun and frolics.
This is a fairly inexpensive two star hotel for those who want to travel to Newcastle to enjoy the vibrant city centre. The Metro public transport system and local bus routes are all near to the hotel, and the city centre is only a few minutes away. The bus service is brilliant, with buses running nearby every ten minutes.
Bear in mind that this is quite a lively option with a bar and restaurant and can get a little excitable at night and at weekends.
The hotel serves a reasonable but not terrifically inspired continental breakfast. There are some flat screen TVs in the bar area which can be enjoyed if you are desperate to catch up on to the Football, the Rugby or the 24 hour News channels.
The hotel boasts a good range of double, single and twin bedrooms.
Overall, it is a reasonable hotel, especially if you have a stag or hen-do in mind. However it is not really for the family, as there is little to amuse or entertain the little ones.
