Dorset Villa
31 Crescent Gardens Avon Valley, Southern Cotswolds

Bath Somerset BA1 2NB

Being five miles from the centre means it’s not the most central hotel in Bath, but it’s certainly one of the most reasonable in terms of price.

Bath has been attracting visitors for centuries, so if you are looking for anyone to thank, thank the Romans who built the spas and a temple in the hills surrounding the town as far back as AD 43, using the hot springs that ‘sprung’ up around the Avon Valley as the source of their spas. And whilst guests at this affable bed breakfast might similarly have ‘baths’ of their own, it’s fair to say they don’t go back to Roman times - which may come as some surprise to some guests who have found the property not as 'forward-thinking' as it could be. The owner might not always be in at time of arrival but there is always a note with keys full instructions on where to find things.

Affordable, a good location but entry into the 20th Century seems some years off yet – R4U
