Look out for the Hotel du Vin’s showpiece spiral staircase and the chequer board lobby. An absolute gem. Highly recommended.
The hotel can be found in the chic and perfectly adorable Montpellier Quarter of Cheltenham. With its spacious public areas and trademark Bistro restaurant the hotel is everything you’d expect of this Regency Spa town. Although visually a little less commanding than the neighbouring Mercure Queens, Hotel du Vin nevertheless shares with it a commanding neo-classical presence, from the stunning mathematical symmetry of its neat Georgian windows to the columns that mark the entrance to the property.
Rooms each have a plasma-screen TV with satellite channels and a DVD player. The bathrooms feature fluffy robes, deep baths, designer toiletries and monsoon showers. Guests can look forward to extensive al fresco dining and a range of lavish facilities; including a ‘Champagne and Grape and Grain Bar’, a number of beauty treatment rooms and private dining rooms.
