Functional rather than pretty, workable rather than wonderful. Loco property close to the historic Exeter Quay provides affordable accommodation next door to St David's Train Station.
Options don't get any more 'loco' than this, situated as it is opposite the town's St David's Railway Station and enjoying the joie de vivre of a themed bar and restaurant. Just a mile or so from the centre of town, the hotel has been satisfying overnight travellers for years. Whilst this property would benefit enormously from some modernization this is a cheap alternative for those needing basic bed and breakfast accommodation for through trips. Named after the Great Western Railway that connected London with the South West of England in the 1890s the hotel features Brunel's Restaurant which offers a comprehensive la carte men. There is also a great range of real ales. Functional rather than pretty, workable rather than wonderful - R4U
