Hotels like these are seldom the choice for extended holidays, but for a place to rest your head, fill your belly and quench your thirst, it’s pretty ideal.

The rooms here enjoy a Mews Cottage feel and there’s a solid choice of Real Cask Ales to enjoy downstairs in the bar. Only reservation is that service can be a little slow on Sundays around lunchtime as the hotel attracts no shortage of regulars to the dining club restaurant.
