The hotel certainly enjoys a practical location: overlooking the A2/Boughton Bypass at Church Wood and just 10 minutes drive from Canterbury City Centre. You'll find it at Upper Harbledown, roughly 4 miles from the M2.
Tucked away amongst a dense labyrinth of Kentish woods you are definitely not short of walking routes and trails. It's handy in every sense of the word; you have a Texaco forecourt nearby, instant access to the A2/M2 road to Dover and all the usual perks of Services including a Fab's Diner and Star Market.
As far as bed & breakfast is concerned the Holiday Inn Express is very good value for money, and though lacking the intimacy and warmth of the smaller B&Bs and the thrills and spills of five-star accommodation.
The hotel is accredited by Visit Britain and has 89 well appointed rooms with a lounge, bar area, a breakfast dining area and plenty of free car parking on site.
At night there is an extensive dinner menu available for guests from 6pm to 10pm daily in the dining area. You'll find the Holiday Inn Express Canterbury between junctions on the eastbound side of the M2 and Canterbury (accessed via Dunkirk slip road).
