Chatham has been sadly overlooked over the course of the years, which is a shame as this historic dockyard holds no shortage of joy for even the casual maritime fan although neighbouring Rochester, with its Charles Dickens Victorian exploration centre is probably the more popular of the two Medway towns. The Holiday Inn can be found off junction 3 of the M2 on the southern outskirts of Chatham and Rochester and is a reasonably cheap option for those looking for practical bed breakfast accommodation with a handful of perks thrown in.
