This large Georgian bed and breakfast sits on the far side of Windsor Park near Egham. Twenty-minute drive from Ascot and next door to the Runnymede Water Meadow - a National Trust Nature Reserve that boasts stunning views of the Thames.

This affordable little guest house may be a little farther afield than most, but its location just off the A30 makes days out at Ascot Races and trips to Legoland and Windsor Castle an absolute doddle. This handsome ivy-clad house dates back to the late 1700s and is tucked away in a quiet cul-de-sac consisting of just two houses.

The bedrooms are spacious and enjoy a cosy, cottage-style feel and character, with some of the rooms offering views across the garden and the coy fish pond with waterfall. Perks include multichannel television and complimentary sherry. Tea and coffee and bathrobes are also available.

Rooms consist of two King size bedrooms, two Double bedrooms and one Twin/Single bedroom. A few (but not all) of the rooms are en suite. Hydeaway House boasts plenty of private parking and can be found in a pretty village neigbouring Windsor Great Park and the Runnymede Nature Reserve (kids and nature lovers will love the ancient woodlands, wetlands and open wildflower meadows with their abundance of birds, otters and dragonflies).

Hydeaway House is well located for Heathrow Airport (20 mins), Egham mainline station (Waterloo 25 mins), Ascot racecourse, Royal Holloway University and Thorpe Park.
