Kings Head Inn

3 star rating 204 Wincheap

Canterbury Kent CT1 3RY

With its award-winning Cask Ales, exposed oaks beams and rustic hospitality, the King's Head is a charming reminder of a Merry Olde England.

Whilst Canterbury may be home to a preponderance of oak timbered buildings and no shortage of wood panelling, the Kings Head must rank as one of the cheapest period properties in the Canterbury area. It’s also one of the wooziest, listed as it is in CAMRA’s recent Good Beer Guides. Whilst the rooms in this modest 15th Century Coaching Inn are rather basic there’s a certain joie de vivre that makes your hotel stay a memorable one. Retaining much of its original Tudor character the hotel is perfect for Dover stopovers and those travelling on the Eurostar – R4U
