Marlborough House

Marloborough House is a small and privately run guest house. The six well appointed bedrooms boast a pleasing period character but there’s a few mod-cons thrown in there too as guests can look forward to a spot of leisurely channel-hopping on the Freeview television or researching all that Bath has to offer on their laptop or tablet-devices using the complimentary wi-fi. The city centre itself is about a mile east of the hotel, which is about 15-minutes going on foot, if you’re prepared to make it a brisk one.

The Jane Austen Centre is just around the corner, as is the famous Royal Crescent. And if you happened to bring your clubs, you’ll be pleased to learn the Approach Golf Club is also nearby.

If you’re a little bit partial to the odd BBC Period drama, you’ll discover no shortage of thrills in the various antiques, the handsome four poster bedroom and the Victorian brassiron beds.

Luxury personal touches include a hostess tray offering complementary sherry. Breakfasts are an organic affair with a bias toward vegetarian produce, such as special omlettes with savoury fillings and Marlborough House special breakfast. The guest house also has a wide variety of organic and herbal teas and coffees. A great little addition to the city, offering first-class accommodation and some tasty breakfast treats.
