The Premier Inn Leicester in St Georges’ Way is practically next door to the Railway Station on London Road, making it ideal for those mad early-morning business dashes to and from the Midlands. As is the case with the vast majority of hotels within the group the onus is very much on clean, practical and value-for-money accommodation, but that doesn’t mean to say it skimps in terms of amenities. The property’s great city centre location just 500 metres from the Highcross Shopping Centre is complemented by a terrific free breakfast restaurant, which offers a more than reasonable selection of cold and cooked buffet items including vegetarian sausages, as well as a wide continental selection.

A good dinner selection is also offered too. The WiFi charges might disappoint some but if a sound nights sleep in a busy city centre location is all you really want on demand, then the Premier Inn is excellent value for money – R4U
