Describing Premier Inn Tower Hill accommodation as ‘value’ or ‘budget’ does this smart and conscientious brand a bit of a disservice, because whilst considerably more affordable than many it still enjoys many of the perks the average four-star hotel has to offer including an on site bar and restaurant in addition to a half-decent coffee shop. Although basic by some standards, the rooms are clean and comfortable, the staff diligent and courteous and the breakfast buffet surprisingly high standard. Broadband wi-fi is available, but sadly it comes at charge albeit reasonably nominal.

Whilst the hotel is adjacent to the Fenchurch Railway line, previous guests at the Premier Inn have been surprised at the comparatively quiet nature of their stay, making it ideal for those who may have trouble sleeping in such a busy central location.

The Tower Hill property is a new addition to the British Whitbread owned-chain but by no means its least experienced – R4U
