Accommodation at Prospect House has become something of a speciality for last-minute stays in this rugged North Yorkshire fishing village on account that this fairly unassuming townhouse property just ten-minutes walk from the centre doesn’t exactly look much from the outside. And this is a shame as the response from the vast majority of guests has been unambiguously positive, the rooms often seeming much bigger in reality than the pictures suggest and the presentation being regularly spotless.

Although sitting rather neatly on a busy street, guests have often commented how little noise bleeds through to the rooms themselves, giving the property their own four-star rating in contrast to its rather misleading 3-star tourist rating. The hotel is close to the beach, the Local Park and Whitby Museum is just a short-walk around the corner.
