4-star St Aubyn’s Guest House can be found in the beautiful Burnham-on-sea at the mouth of the River Parrett and on the edge of the Somerset levels. Local attractions include Wookey Hole Caves, Brean Leisure Park and Glastonbury Tor.
Sticklers for detail will soon realise that this fine-looking 4-star guest house is still a good 12 miles from those magical Mendip fells and charming Cheddar caves. We’ve included it nonetheless because it has several things in its favour. First off it has a seafront location in the beautiful Burnham-on-sea which is just across the bay from the Bridgwater Bay National Nature Reserve. Secondly it has a small but frankly rather stunning heated indoor swimming pool that puts the vast majority of rival guest houses (and even three-star hotels) to shame.
The hotel's exceptional high-standards have been recognised by the English Tourism Council who rightly slapped 4 prestigious stars on the place. It’s a gently lavish yet traditional affair with luxury period furnishings and sumptuous fabrics.
All bedrooms are en suite and feature LCD televisions an Freeview. Several of the rooms enjoy views of the Bristol Channel and guests looking for a little romance will be delighted to learn there are some classic four-poster bedrooms.
St Aubyn’s Guest House also boasts a half-acre of private, secluded gardens and a patio area for relaxing. Children are welcome but there are no cot facilities available – R4U
