Best Western Carlton Hotel
3 star rating 282 North Promenade

Blackpool Lancashire FY1 2EZ

Views of the dazzling Fylde coastline and a spicy Jali Restaurant lends spadefuls of character to this tasty little winner on North Shore.

The Best Western Carlton Hotel occupies a pretty enviable location on Blackpool’s quiet and gentle North Shore. It’s a promenade/seafront affair, so you won’t have too far to lug those buckets and spades down to the beach and North Train Station is also on hand for those leaving the car at home.

This is a winner on several fronts really: the bedrooms are bright, spacious, there’s plenty free car parking, there’s a 24-hour front desk, room service and a terrific range of food courtesy of the Roman themed ‘Caesar’s Restaurant’ and the Jali Restaurant which features a fairly solid range of Indian dishes.

There was nice warm greeting on arrival and the sea-views are exactly that: views of the dazzling Fylde coastline and not the often vague ‘white space’ between roofs and the horizon that most hotels seem to offer. An inexpensive option – R4U
