Three Horseshoes Inn Country Hotel

The exposed oak-beam in the restaurants should give you an idea of what to expect. This is full of country character and probably one of the best places to eat in a good ten-mile radius. The 26 bedrooms on offer are all handsomely furnished and go some way beyond the average ‘pub-with-rooms’ options on offer locally; this is a hotel and restaurant first, a pub second (although you will find a terrific range of malts, spirits and cask ales on offer in the bar). There’s a fair range of bedrooms on offer including standard double and twin rooms, some Executive rooms and a four-poster luxury bedroom with some lovely period touches (including a beautiful hand-carved wooden bed and a wonderfully indulgent whirlpool bath. Many of the rooms have excellent views of the surrounding Peak District.

Food is where the Three Horse Shoes really excels. There are three dining options available. The Bar Carvery and Grill offers traditional roasts in a traditional pub atmosphere whilst the more spacious and upmarket Brasserie boasts an open kitchen and a substantial oak trussed ceiling.

Diners at the Brasserie can look forward to uninterrupted views of the lofty peaks and ‘roaches’ and some award-winning Thai cooking. Kirk's Restaurant does traditional Sunday lunches and lays on regular entertainment – R4U
