Situated on the edge of the glorious lush greens of the Fairways Championship Golf Course this smart but basic hotel provides no-frills accommodation for all those people taking a well-earned golf break in the Highlands. Enjoying an inspiring location just north of Loch Ness the Fairways plays host to an 18-hole Championship course, a nine-hole family course and a 19 bay all weather driving range.

For the vast majority of the golf enthusiasts who arrive here, the facilities the Travelodge Fairways offers are unlikely to receive attention, which is probably just as well, as there is remarkably little to say. The check-in staff prove friendly enough, the rooms spacious and in view of the rural surroundings you can pretty guarantee a good night’s sleep – although the place might benefit its guests by providing thicker duvets during the frequent cold spells.

The Travelodge can be found on the Western flanks of the greens about one and a half miles from Inverness city centre just off the B8082 – R4U
