Trehellas started life in 1740 as a posting inn - the Washaway Inn - and was converted to a farmhouse in the late 19th century, subsequently becoming a private house in the 20th century. The elegant Old House and its neighbouring Coach House have since been completely refurbished to provide delightful hotel accommodation for families, couples and business people alike in the heart of Cornwall.

Trehellas has a heated outdoor swimming pool open May to September, lovely gardens, a large patio area and ample parking for hotel guests and diners. A range of jewellery and painted glass items by local artists are on display and for sale in reception.
