With parts of the building dating from the time of Mary Queen of Scots, we offer spacious en-suite bedrooms, a cosy public bar with draught real ale, and a sun-trap beer garden to the rear of the building. All our rooms were completely renovated in 2006. Walking and cycling breaks are our speciality. Golf is available on 23 courses as part of the Freedom of the Fairways scheme, and there is also excellent fishing, horse-riding and other country pursuits in the wonderful scenery of the Borders.
