Northampton seems somewhat cruelly left off the customary tourist trail, which is something of a shame as the town is home to some fine looking Norman architecture. If you’re visiting the area for a trip to Althorp House then you may want to look at Northampton’s north-eastern fringes near Harlestone or Berry Wood.
The Railway Station in Northampton can be found on Black Lion Hill and operates a regular southbound service to London and northbound service to Birmingham New Street.
