The hotel is located on Edgware Road in the St Johns Wood district of London and offers inexpensive accommodation in one of London’s busiest transport hubs. Paddington Train Station and Underground are just a short walk around St Mary’s Gardens off the A40/Westway. Rooms here come equipped with air-conditioning and whilst rather basic and uninspirational they feature a range of practical amenities like broadband wi-fi and power-showers. what’s the buzz?

Guest reviews of all these hotels in Paddington are available on the booking pages. Awarded a three-star status after extensive refurbishment, this Grade II Listed Georgian Townhouse enjoys a small landscaped area and comes equipped with a 24-hour reception desk. The Phoenix is just one hotel in Paddington occupying the much sought-after Waterside district, a redevelopment area comprising Praed Steet, Westbourne Terrace and the A40 Westway. The en suite rooms may be on the small size but given its proximity to Paddington Station and the mass of other rail and tube networks immediately within walking distance it still makes terrific value.

Much has changed over recent years in Merchant Square and the Paddington Basin area with the introduction of the vastly more expensive Hilton Hotel and the creation of several retail, leisure and health initiatives including a Starbucks and a Sainsburys at the new Paddington Central. The arrival of the high-speed Crossrail also brings new possibilities to Paddington. Not everything has changed though, as the Days Inn still one of the cheapest bed and breakfasts in Paddington and around the immediate area.

In the safe hands of Best Western, the accomodation at the Shaftesbury Paddington Court is a practical alternative to the more lavish Hilton stay, and yet boasts no shortage of perks; these include a concierge service, multi-lingual staff, a laundry service and air-conditioned bedrooms. Accommodation is supported by a fitness room for use by guests and a restaurant and bar.

A nerve centre for British Politics, the district lies on the north bank of the River Thames in the London borough of the City of Paddington, close to the government buildings of Whitehall. Trains depart every 15 minutes. Mainline station is the terminus for commuter services to the west of England and mainline services. Should there be no rooms available at your first choice, more Paddington hotels and cheap b&b accommodation will be suggested.
