Best Western Jersey Arms

2 star rating Ardley Road Middleton Stoney

Oxford Oxfordshire OX25 4AD

The Jersey Arms can be found in Middleton Stoney some 10 miles north of Oxford and within minutes of the M40 motorway.

Ale lovers might want to take note as this charming medieval property must rank as one of the finest coaching inns in England and boasts some terrific cask-ales.

The Inn dates back to the mid-1200s and was at one time the ale house for Lord Jersey’s Middleton Stoney Estate. Its a fine old Cotwold property with heaps of period character. The 20 guest rooms on offer include single and king-sized double bedrooms and all of them are built around a delightful courtyard garden.

With a roaring log-fire in Winter and a nice quiet beer garden in the Summer this is very much an Inn for all seasons. Light meals are available at lunchtime in the bar, and a traditional Sunday roast is served every Sunday from 12:00-14:15.

International visitors will love the uneven walls, the pitted floors, the glimpse of old oak beams and the stunning rural location.

Just 3 minutes drive from Bicester and ten-minutes from Oxford.
