From the dazzling mirrored wallpaper to the stunning wrought iron balcony, this lavish Brighton guest house has carte blanch where style is concerned.
One thing is certain; you could only be closer to the Pier if you happened to be sat amongst its criss-crossing iron piles dangling a rod into the English Channel. With a solid show of support on the infamous Tripadvisor and a dreamy Kemp Town location, this is a very reliable option indeed. It’s quirky without being outrageous, classy without being pretentious and personal without being invasive. Blanch House has achieved a gentle, delicate balance: part Opium Den, part-Moroccan harem and part-Victorian boudoir. The scarlet ‘Legacia’ room is worthy of particular mention with its sprinkling of Art Deco, Regency Bay Window and the sleek metro signatures of the 1930s bathroom. It’s a gem amongst gems.
