Blanch House
4 star rating 17 Atlingworth Street

Brighton Kemp Town Sussex BN21PL

From the dazzling mirrored wallpaper to the stunning wrought iron balcony, this lavish Brighton guest house has carte blanch where style is concerned.

One thing is certain; you could only be closer to the Pier if you happened to be sat amongst its criss-crossing iron piles dangling a rod into the English Channel. With a solid show of support on the infamous Tripadvisor and a dreamy Kemp Town location, this is a very reliable option indeed. It’s quirky without being outrageous, classy without being pretentious and personal without being invasive. Blanch House has achieved a gentle, delicate balance: part Opium Den, part-Moroccan harem and part-Victorian boudoir. The scarlet ‘Legacia’ room is worthy of particular mention with its sprinkling of Art Deco, Regency Bay Window and the sleek metro signatures of the 1930s bathroom. It’s a gem amongst gems.

  • Named after the famous Epernay Champagne, the Perrier Jouet rooms boasts a wrought iron balcony and magnificent views of the sea.
  • Super king-sized beds and stylish Art Deco bathrooms.
  • Dazzling mirrored wallpaper in the Alice bedroom.
  • Moroccan bedroom features stunning Moorish furnishings with a sumptuous bohemian twist in the bathroom.
  • Speciality teas, coffees and Blanch House mineral water in bedrooms.
  • All rooms feature complimentary Wifi, LED flat screen TV, Freeview.
