It’s a fair-to-decent budget hotel that offers good value for money. Located in the West End of Edinburgh within five-minutes of Coates and Haymarket Rail Station.
The Britannia Hotel Edinburgh is well located for tripping the light fantastic in the city's gloriously Georgian and fabulously theatrical West End. The Traverse Theatre, Usher Hall and the Royal Lyceum are about a 15 walk down Douglas Gardens and Lothian Road whilst closer to home are the Scottish National Gallery of Modern Art and the beautiful Dean Gardens which includes a series of pleasant footpaths in around the Waters of Leith and several children’s adventure play areas.
It's the usual no-frills affair but with a couple of useful add-ons including a bar/cafe serving a workable selection of beers, wine and spirits. Parking is provided but at a cost although Blue Badge holders will be able to park for free if they inform the staff at reception.
Room4U has partnered Bookings.com on this property. More photos, reviews and a full list of facilities and room prices are available using the button above.
The hotel is ideal for trips to the Scottish Gallery of National Art, the Royal Botanic Gardens and Edinburgh's Royal Lyceum Theatre - all of which are only minutes away.
