The Britannia City Centre Hotel may not be Nottingham’s most characterful hotel, but the city centre location makes this a solid option for business travellers, folks doing the Robin Hood thing at shows at the Theatre Royal and Nottingham Playhouse.
The hotel’s location just off Maid Marian Way makes this a workable budget option for families for trips to Nottingham Castle which rises in all its majesty and magic above it. The Britannia occupies a reasonably central position on the western flank of the city centre just down from the Theatre Royal and Playhouse. It’s impressive in own right, the 100-plus standard rooms ably supported by a range of executive rooms and suites that whilst lacking the imagination of nearby boutique properties will be adequate for guests with busy schedules and appointments to keep.
Bar Rogue offers a cosy place to unwind and relax whilst Jenny’s Restaurant offers food throughout the day and a reasonable carvery.
Nearby attractions include the Jerusalem Inn (one of the oldest pubs in England). The Capital FM Arena is just 15 minutes walk across town.
