Burford Lodge Hotel
3 star rating Oxford Road

Burford Oxfordshire OX18 4PH

19th Century Burford property that’s still engaging our hearts after all these years. Charismatic base for exploring Oxfordshire and the Cotswolds.

This charming hotel was at one time the home of Thomas Henry Reynolds, the Victorian spiritual songster responsible for some of our best known hymns. And though the rapturous exclamation marks may have been lost over the years, Burford Lodge has lost none of its former ‘glory’. If you love all those engaging period dramas from the likes of the BBC, then you’ll love this compelling country residence in central Burford.

Much of the 19th Century character has been preserved and all the arm and hospitality of the Cotswold is still very much in service.

The hotel is located in the town centre, just off the A40.

Rooms are a charming combination of wrought-iron beds, rich fabrics and cosy, traditional furnishings. Still engaging our hearts after all these years.
