Carlton Riverside

Carlton Riverside is a Restaurant-with-Rooms and is one of the best restaurants in Britain highly rated by all the independent Guides and most recently voted one of the Top 100 UK Restaurants by Restaurant Magazine. It occupies one of the oldest buildings in Llanwrtyd Wells the smallest town in Britain and sits on the south bank of the River Irfon a lovely crystal-clear stream flowing through the middle of the town. Parking is not a problem here as there is a free public car park just opposite the restaurant. Llanwrtyd Wells nestles at the foot of the Cambrian Mountains a stunningly beautiful range of mountains and valleys and one of Wales's best kept secrets. There are wonderful walks to be had without any necessity to drive you can just set off straight from the front door. Mountain biking is a growing sport and this is a very popular area to indulge in this activity and bikes can readily be hired locally.
