This is a truly inspirational venue, and an ideal country retreat. Excellent value for money.
Guests will find this Castle of Brecon sitting just up from the River Usk and just down from Ely Tower and Castle Square making this a truly idyllic setting for a romantic, medieval getaway. As you might expect the hotel is based around the old 11th Century Norman Castle. The old castle ruins were extended and redeveloped in the early 1800s and the property became one of the first modern hotels in Wales. Guests can look forward to stunning views of the Brecon Beacons and Pen Y Fan, feasting in the medieval banquet hall, a tipple in the Georgian Bar, with its cosy fireplaces and deep leather sofas, or a Carvery Roast in the onsite restaurant – R4U
