Cheshire Hotel
3 star rating 110 Great Russell St

Greater London WC1B 3NA

A proud and stately reminder of Bloomsbury fashionable history. Grey, solid but very very cosy.

Whether you know the name because of the publishing house, Harry Potter, the British Museum or the theatre, you’re probably quite aware that Bloomsbury is one of the most stylish residential areas in Central London.

Whilst the actual Square was laid out in the late 1600s by Thomas Wriothesley, it was the Russell family who made it so very fashionable and the Cheshire Hotel, we are pleased to say, is a credit to whole endeavour. The grey and solid looking granite property stands proudly on the corner of Great Russell Street.

Tottenham Court Road Tube Station is just across the road whilst Bedford Square and the School of Architecture can be found immediately to the rear. The 30+ guest rooms come equipped with movies-on-demand, multi-channel TV and tea and coffee makers. The restaurant is a bright and contemporary affair with a subtle Mediterranean atmosphere.

A reasonable breakfast menu is served with special omelettes and egg on toast providing a lighter alternative to the Full English options on offer.
