Groves
4 star rating 15 St Peters Grove

York North Yorkshire YO30 6AQ

The Groves enjoys a quiet residential location just a 100 yards from the Minstermen's chereished Booth Crescent Stadium - home of York City Football Club. Highly recommended.

The building has a bit of history behind it according to the Groves website. William Pentey built it when Victoria was still on the throne in the late 1800s. Little is known about him now but at one time he was an architect of some repute who designed the property for a wealthy tobacconist who wished to expand his business in York. This is one of several similar guest houses we have in the Clifton/Bootham area and really is just as capable. Groves occupies a pleasant location in a peaceful, tree-lined grove just 15 minutes walk from York City Centre.

There are several ground-floor rooms on offer suitable for disabled guests, as well as ample on-site free car parking. The house benefits from some attractive period features including an awesome grand staircase.

A good deal of imagination and creativity has gone into the bedrooms which are all uniquely decorated and equipped with top-of-the-range furnishings. Some very large rooms on offer – R4U
