Hobart Hall Guest House

3 star rating 43-47 Petersham Road

Richmond Upon Thames Surrey TW10 6UL

At the time of its completion in 1690, Hobart Hall would be ranked as one of the smaller houses in the area. Today it has lost none of its gothic majesty and provides a fine base for exploring London.

Hobart Hall is a compelling and rather baronial looking property dating back to the late 1600s and set neatly on the banks of the River Thames close to Richmond Bridge. This stretch of the Thames is renowned for its outstanding beauty the hotel offers its patrons a unique combination of luxury and history. The gardens lead you all the way down to the Thames embankment where a daily procession of pleasure boats complete journeys up and down the river. Many of these boats will take you to historical places of interest like the ancient coronation town of Kingston Hampton Court Palace and the famous Teddington Locks.

There are many beautiful walks along the river such as to the enchanting village of Petersham across the meadows or a little further along to Ham Common with its entrance to Richmond Royal Park and its herds of roaming deer.
