Oaks Hotel

The Oaks Hotel is your perfect stop for a drink, a meal or a more significant break from your steep journey North or your long journey South. Known as the ‘Windsor of the North’, the magical Alnwick Castle rises vividly from the gentle banks of the River Aln and has been the family home of the Duke of Northumberland for some 700 years. Twelve recently refurbished bedrooms including singles, twins, doubles and a new four-poster are offered at reasonable prices. All are well equipped with en-suite bathrooms, TV and radio, wireless broadband access and tea and coffee making facilities.

Where it excels though, is in its kitchens. The Oaks Hotel uses only the finest local produce that is delivered fresh to the premises every morning. Local farms supply the hotel with their produce, and being so very close to the sea there is a surfeit of tasty fresh fish.
