You’ll have seen the adverts. Premier Inn pride themselves in offering cheap (and very purple) accommodation for busy folks doing busy things in a sweet and affable manner. They even have the burly National Treasure that is Lenny Henry doing the ads, just to prove how unintimidating and ‘comfortable’ the whole Premier experience can be. And it’s is not without good reason.

The beds are big and comfy (enough for even the burliest of comedians) and the all-you-can-eat buffet breakfasts should satisfy even the most challenging morning engines. It’s big, but not gigantic, the 90 or so bedrooms spread across several floors of this pert but respectable tower.

The joy is really in its location. Someone has clearly done their homework here. The hotel is just a few minute’s walk from Nottingham’s Capital FM Arena, five-minute’s walk from the Train Station and Nottingham Lace Market.

There is a large public car-park on site (first come, first served and around £3.00 a day for guests). Charmingly average. Not unlike Lenny.
