The Prince Hotel is our top choice for quality bed and breakfast accommodation for those on a tight budget and keen to avoid the hurly burly of the centre. Situated in Harborne, a leafy, pleasant and rather exclusive enclave of Edgbaston, just a few miles outside the city, the Prince is a smart and friendly family run property convenient for National Indoor Arena, Selly Park and the University campuses. Guests can enjoy free access to high-speed Internet facilities in the lounge till 6pm whilst Wi-Fi is available in all guest bedrooms.
A complimentary continental breakfast is served till 9.00am each morning. Recently renovated en-suite rooms have new and first-class power showers. Room4U considers it a great little budget option.
The staff were helpful and supportive, the bed sheets crisp and clean and en-suite bathroom surfaces so clean you could eat your complimentary breakfast off them. The stone-cladding was a little kitsch, but then so was Abba – R4U
