This small and affordable bed & breakfast on South Shore is perfect for that rare breed of visitor who have the cash to both smoke and splash out on the rides at the Pleasure Beach, as the Scala boasts designated smoking rooms to make guests feel at home. The hotel is licensed and family run and earned a ‘Quality Plus’ award from the local Blackpool Tourist Board several years ago. All the major attractions are within easy strolling distance including Waterworld and the Pleasure Beach (which is really just a matter of yards).

The train station is virtually opposite the hotel and the prom just round the corner. Couldn’t be better placed for the switching on of Blackpool’s world famous illuminations at the back-end of August.

Facilities at the Scala include a sun-lounge, pool/games room and a fully-licensed bar and lounge. The restaurant caters for vegetarians and guests with special diets.
