"If you appreciated to brown-beige retro of TV’s ‘Life On Mars’ you just might appreciate this".
This pub-with-rooms property in Manchester’s Northern Quarter is a bit grim even by pub standards, but should you be desperate for cheap accommodation in the alternative/bohemian centre of town, and providing you enter intoxicated enough, there’s little to really offend – especially at just £20 per head. Whilst the rooms are so basic there’s little to expand upon, there’s a staggeringly good range of local ales on site including Dark Hatters from Stockport, Blinding Light from Wigan, and Tears of Angels from Denton. If you appreciated to brown-beige retro of TV’s ‘Life On Mars’ you just might appreciate this. All that’s really missing is an old Ford Cortina parked outside and a Watney’s Party Seven sitting on the bar.
