Colwyn Bay is little more than 10 minutes east along the coast and Penryn Bay is even closer making Sunnydowns one of the most practical and cheapest hotels in the Colwyn Bay area. Room4U readers report back on friendly and good value for money bed and breakfast accommodation and although the hotel could benefit from some fresh ideas and a little modernisation it has an unpretentious and traditional charm, nonetheless. Enjoying a quiet location on the western fringes of Colwyn Bay within a seagull’s cry of Rhoos the hotel enjoys its own car park and sauna and rooms come equipped with have en-suite bathrooms, satellite channels, mini-bar fridge and wireless broadband as standard.
