When guests tell room4u their only gripe was that the breakfast portions could have been bigger, we respond by saying that there are two ways you could look at it: the food on your plate was at least of sufficient quality to have a grumble about it in the first place and secondly, perhaps it was just that the plates were too large! That aside, most people seem of the opinion that the Travelodge Edinburgh Airport is very cheap, very basic and very quiet. By cheap they mean value for money, by basic they mean no unnecessary toiletries or showy, extraneous gimmicks like Spring Water on tap or a host of golden daffodils sprinkled liberally around your tea and coffee making tray. And in certain contexts like this, when time is scarce and your attention is alternately occupied by worries about flight delays, getting your suitcase to refasten and whether or not you’ll get a little sachet of tartar sauce with your in-flight meal, ‘basic’ is good.
